The Wonder of Northern Bali

On leaving the lowlands and relatively flat rice fields of Tabanan, we drive into the steeper mountain region of Bedugul. The vegetation changes as we continue to the alpine countryside. We shall make a stop at Pacung amidst beautiful rice terraces and also visit the colourful local fruit market of Candi Kuning. On reaching the attractive mountain resort of Bedugul and Lake Beratan, we shall visit the delightful Ulun Danu Temple dedicated to the Goddess of the waters (Dewi Danu).

We continue north along the winding roads which lead to Gitgit waterfalls. (A short walk through jungle paths reveals the beautiful falls). Clove and coffee plantations stretch to the lowlands of Singaraja and Lovina’s black lava sand beaches. The return journey takes us through the most beautiful rice terraces at Pupuan.
